Today’s Random Thought: Fast updating stories…
It seems like the new trend of the year is for stories to update on a crazy paced schedule, 2, 3, 4 times a week updates. I can’t imagine being an author and having to keep up with that pace and keep producing the chapters, but the reader in me loves it and craves more.
Now these quick updates tend to produce shorter chapters but for me it’s awesome, I can just jump in and read whenever I get the alert and then am giddy for the next one. These types of updates give a story a different type of pace and almost add momentum to the story itself. Of course, the other side is you have to keep up, one poorly placed vacation to Hawaii (yeah I know when is a trip to Hawaii ever poorly placed) and you’re wayyyy behind! But, never fret falling behind can be fun and it just gives you a good excuse to curl up on the sofa with a nice cup of tea and catch up! So even if you think to yourself “I will never be able to keep up” don’t stress just go out there and try one, they can be quite addictive and the more they update the more addictive they tend to become.
